Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Essential: Full time Regular B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) 4 Years course in the relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- Mechanical: Mechanical, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Mechanical & Production Engineering, Marine Engineering.
- Electrical: Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation.
- Electronics: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Telecommunication.
- Computer/IT: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Technology.
Additional Requirements:
• Candidates sponsored by Local Employment Exchange must possess at least 1 year relevant experience OR one year Graduate Apprenticeship training as on 31/12/2025.
• Only Post-Qualification Experience is considered.
• Lateral entry to the 3rd semester of an 8-semester course is considered equivalent.
2. Age Limit
Cut-off Date: 31/12/2025
- UR/EWS: Max 28 Years
- OBC: Max 31 Years
- SC/ST: Max 33 Years
Age Relaxation:
• PwBD: As per GoI guidelines.
• Ex-Servicemen/Agniveers: As per existing GoI guidelines.
• GSL Apprentices: Candidates who completed Graduate Apprentices/Advance Trainee in GSL get relaxation up to the number of years served as an apprentice.
3. Experience
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience required for Employment Exchange sponsored candidates (as of 31/12/2025).
- Graduate Apprenticeship training (in any industry) is considered experience.
- Desirable: Experience in shipbuilding, ship repairing, or engineering industry.
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in three stages:
- Written Test:
• Pattern: 25% General Aptitude + 75% Subject/Trade related questions.
• Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) or Pen & Paper Based Test (PBT).
• Qualifying Marks: 40% for General/EWS; 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC. - Document Verification:
• Shortlisted candidates (ratio 1:5 based on written test) must produce original documents. - Group Discussion/Interview:
• Candidates clearing DV will appear for GD/Interview.
• Qualifying Marks: 40% for General/EWS; 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC.
Final Grading
