Accountant and Various Posts

Number of Vacancy: 46 Posts
Educational Qualification:
District Programme Coordinator:
1. MBA / PG Diploma in management/ health administration from a recognized institute / university.
2. At least 1 year of work experience.
3. Basic knowledge of computers.
DR-TB Centre Statistical Assistant:
1. Graduate in statistics with Diploma in computer application or equivalent recognized by the Council for Technical education 2. Typing speed of 40 w.p.m in English and Tamil.
3. Should be conversant with MS Word, Excel and statistical packages.
Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisor (STLS):
1. Twelfth (10+2) and Bachelor’s degree in Science.
2. Diploma course in Medical Laboratory Technology Recognized by DME.
3. Permanent two wheeler driving license.
4. 2 months Certificate course in MS Office.
5. Work experience in health facility at least for one year.
Accountant:
1. Graduate in Commerce.
2. Two years of experience in maintenance of accounts on double entry system
3. Experience in working with Accounting software for at least 2 years.
Lab Technician (LT): Twelfth (10+2) and 2 Years Diploma course in Medical Laboratory Technology Recognized by DME.
TB Health Visitor (TB HV):
1. Graduate in science or Twelfth (10+2) in science and two year course in MPHW/ LHV/ ANM/ Health worker. or
2. Tuberculosis health visitors recognized course.
3.Certificate course in MS Office.
Pay Scale:
INR
13300-26500/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 45 Years.

About Greater Chennai Corporation
The Greater Chennai Corporation (previously Madras) is the Oldest Municipal Institution in India established on the 29th September 1688. A charter was issued on the 30th December, 1607 by East Indian Company constituting the "Town of Fort St. George" and all the territories thereunto belonging, not exceeding the distance of ten miles from the Fort, into a Corporation. The Parliamentary Act of 1792 gave the Corporation power to levy Municipal Taxes in the City. The Municipal administration properly commenced from the Parliamentary Act, 1792 making provision for the good order and administration of the city. The Municipal Act has been amended introducing from time to time major changes in the constitution and powers of the Corporation. The Madras Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 (as amended) provides the basic Statutory authority for the administration now.
Sir Josiah Child, one of the directors of the East India Company was responsible for the formation of the Greater Chennai Corporation, on the model of Dutch Government in the East Indies. On 29th September 1688, the corporation was inaugurated with power to decide petty cases, levy rates upon the inhabitants for building of schools, a town hall and a jail. Mr. Nathaniel Higginson was nominated as First mayor with 12 aldermen and 60 burgesses.
