Educational Qualification: Any Masters Degree, M.Phil/Ph.D
Applications are invited for the following post of Associate Professor (Veterinary Medicine) from teachers/scientists retired from any University/lnstitute upto the age of 65 years on the remuneration at last pay drawn minus pension (on the existing pay scale of the post of the Punjab Government) for an initial period of one year for College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul, Distt. Bathinda on plain paper as per the attached prescribed format.
1. Name of the Post: Associate Professor (Veterinary Medicine)
2. Qualification:
a) Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Medicine/ Clinical Veterinary Medicine/Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Ethics & Jurisprudence.
b) Master's degree in the relevant discipline with minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.
c) Eight years' experience in teaching/research/extension education in Veterinary Medicine/Clinical Veterinary Medicine, E & J at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).
d) Substantial contributions to research as evidenced by quality of papers published with a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books and/or adoption of results of research, innovations in teaching/extension education.
e) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).
3. Job Responsibilities:
a) Assigned teaching duties.
b) To attend clinical cases at Teaching Veterinary Hospital Clinics, Ambulatory and during filed visits.
c) To take initiative in bringing research projects for strengthening the research, teaching and extension education programme.
d) Any other duty assigned from time to time.

It was a part of Punjab Agricultural University and was established on 9 August 2005 to serve the society by promoting the livestock production, health and prevention of diseases through integrated teaching and extension programs. The mission of the college is to produce veterinary graduates, scientists and extension workers for promoting better livestock health, by prevention of disease, increasing production and reproduction of livestock, thus improving the quality of rural life in Punjab.
