Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Geospatial Officer (AI/ML)
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Data Science/AI-ML/Geoinformatics/Agricultural Science. Total 5 years of experience including 1 year in AI-ML/LLM. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience including 1 year in AI-ML/LLM.
- Desirable: Involvement in research projects, AI/ML Certifications (Google Tensor Flow, AWS ML, Microsoft AI), Data Science Certifications (IBM, Coursera), HPC or cloud compute certifications, Machine Learning & Deep Learning, Programming (Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch), Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, Azure), High-Performance Computing, Data Pipelines, GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS), Satellite data platforms.
Eligibility for RA-III (Image Analyst)
- Essential Qualification: 1st Class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Agricultural Science/Biological Science/Physical Science/Environmental Science/Geoinformatics with 5 years of experience and at least one research paper in SCI listed Journals. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience and at least one research paper in SCI listed Journals.
- Desirable: AI/ML Certifications, Machine Learning & Deep Learning, Programming (Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch), Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, Azure), High-Performance Computing, Data Pipelines, GIS and Remote Sensing tools, Satellite data platforms.
Eligibility for RA-III (Meteorologist)
- Essential Qualification: 1st Class Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing/GIS/Geo-Informatics/Geography/Geo-Sciences/Environmental Science/Forestry/Agronomy/Agriculture/Computer Science/Agro-Meteorology/Meteorology/Agro-Physics/Statistics/Mathematics with 5-years experience and at least one research paper in SCI listed Journals. OR Doctorate in the relevant field with 3-years of work experience and at least one research paper in SCI listed Journals.
- Desirable: Work experience in using optical/microwave remote sensing data, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, Agro-meteorology, Meteorology, Statistics.
Eligibility for RA-III (IoT)
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Master’s Degree in IT/Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics OR PhD in the relevant field with 3-years of work experience and at least one research paper in SCI listed Journal.
- Desirable: Basic Knowledge of AVR, PIC, ARM, RASPBERRY PI, working with different kind of Sensors, TCP/IP Networking concepts, Linux systems, software scripts (Python/Perl, Linux scripting, Java Script), software testing, fire walling, VPN/IPSEC, TLS, SNMP, PPP, NAT, cellular technologies (3G, 4G/LTE, 5G).
Eligibility for Application Lead
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Geoinformatics/Geography/Civil Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering with at least 10 years of hands-on experience post bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of hands-on experience post Master’s Degree in software development and application customization including GIS applications.
- Desirable: Experience as a Developer/Tech Lead, full software lifecycle management, programming languages (.NET, Python, Node.js), Front end (Angular, React, Vue.js), Mobile app development (Android, iOS), Backend (Node.js, Express.js), Databases (SQL, NoSQL), GIS integration (PostGIS, ArcGIS, GeoServer), payment gateways, micro services, DevOps practices.
Eligibility for Quality Assurance Specialist
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Data Science/AI-ML/Geoinformatics with 5 years of experience. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.
- Desirable: Experience in QA/Testing, ISTQB certification, Experience in GIS applications, Python/Java/JavaScript, Selenium/Cucumber, JIRA, Test planning, Defect management.
Eligibility for Geospatial Officer (Database)
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Database Management/Geoinformatics with 5 years of experience. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.
- Desirable: Experience in Database Administration, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Database backup and recovery, Performance tuning, PL/SQL, Python, GIS database standards.
Eligibility for Geospatial Officer (Image)
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing with 5 years of experience. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.

Eligibility for Scrum Master
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering/IT/Management with 5 years of experience. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.

Eligibility for Legal and Technical Documentation Specialist
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or Technical Communication/English with 5 years of experience in technical documentation. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.
- Desirable: Experience in Government contracts, Tender documentation, Technical writing, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat.
Eligibility for Senior Geodetic Officer
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Geomatics/Civil Engineering/Geophysics/Geology with 5 years of experience in GNSS/Geodesy. OR PhD in the relevant field with 3 years of experience.
- Desirable: Experience with DGPS, CORS network, Total Station, Levelling, GNSS data processing (Bernese, GAMIT), GIS software.
Eligibility for Communication Engineer
- Essential Qualification: 1st class Bachelor’s Degree or 1st class Master’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/IT/Computer Science with 3 years of experience.

Eligibility for Backend Software Developer

- Special Note: Salary is Rs. 25,000/- + HRA. Revised Salary is Rs. 31,000/- P.M. plus HRA as applicable to NET/GATE Qualified Candidates.
Salary / Stipend
Remuneration is consolidated as specified in the vacancy table. HRA is applicable as mentioned for specific posts (e.g., RA-III posts). If HRA is not mentioned, the remuneration is consolidated. Project Fellow salary is Rs. 25,000/- (Rs. 31,000/- for NET/GATE qualified).

Selection Process
The engagement in the projects will be purely on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project or earlier.
