1. Candidates fulfilling all the above mentioned eligibility criteria will be called for interview. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview which will be tentatively scheduled in the month of January 2022.
2. Merit list will be drawn basis the academic results of engineering degree and Scores in the Interview.
3. Final offer for apprenticeship training would be subjected to clearing the Medical test as per HPCL standards and submission of all the documents / certificates towards proof of age, qualification, caste, medical certificates of PwBD and medical fitness etc., as may be applicable.
1. Important Dates:
a) Commencement of Online Application on NATS Portal : 07-01-2022
b) Last date of Online Application on NATS Portal : 14-01-2022
2. Once candidates have enrolled themselves on NATS portal, candidates need to log onto NATS portal using their USER ID/EMAIL ID and password.
3. Once logged in, on the home page, candidates have to click on “ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST” and select option “Find Establishment” from drop down menu.
4. Once candidates click on “Find Establishment”, the page appears with two “Search criteria”, i.e. Option to search by 1) Preferences and 2) Establishment Name.
5. Among the search criterion option select Establishment name, candidates need to type “Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited” and click on option “Search”.
6. Once candidates click on search, apprentice vacancies at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited appears. Candidates need to click on Establishment name “Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited” and select “Apply” button.
7. Once candidate click “Apply” button a message appears as given below “Successfully applied for the training program”.
8. Before applying candidates must ensure that all their profile details (Caste, Educational background, Personal credentials etc.) along with aggregate percentage (refer calculation of percentage in eligibility requirements) are appearing correctly in their application. HPCL will not make any revisions/corrections in the data submitted by candidates. Candidates are required to contact their respective BOAT office in case of any corrections.
9. The candidates can confirm if they applied for the establishment by checking under the tab “Establishment Requests”
1. The engagement of apprentices will be governed by the Apprentice Act,1961 / Apprentices Amendment Act,1973 and rules thereof.
2. The engagement as Apprentice trainees will be period of ONE YEAR only.
3. Candidates selected as Graduate Apprentice Trainee shall be paid monthly stipend 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand Only).
4. The reserved category candidates are requested to submit SC/ST/OBC-NC and PwBD (VH/OH/HH) certificate/s in the prescribed format application (the formats can be downloaded from our site www.hpclcareers.com-Downloads-Downloads_forApprentices).
5. Candidates must also ensure that the name of their caste/community and its spelling in their caste/community should be exactly as mentioned in the lists notified by the central government from time to time (for OBCNC category list of castes recognized by the Govt. of India as OBC castes in the central list is available on the site https://www.ncbc.nic.in ,for ST category the list of castes for each state is available on the site www.ncst.nic.in and for SC category the list of castes for each state is available on the site https://www.socialjustice.nic.in ). A certificate containing any variation in the caste name will be not be accepted. Further the OBC certificate should also clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to creamy layer as defined by the Govt. of India.
6. The OBC claim of a candidate will be determined in relation of the state (or part of the state) to which his/her father originally belongs. A candidate who has migrated from one state (or part of the state) to another should, therefore, produce an OBC certificate which should have been issued on him/her based on his/her father’s OBC certificate form the state to which he (father) originally belongs.
7. The OBC candidates who belong to “Creamy Layer” are not entitled for concession admissible to OBC-NC candidates and such candidates will have to indicate their category as Unreserved (UR).
8. If the SC/ST/OBC-NC/PwBD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/ Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English/Hindi.
9. Interview call letter will be sent over NATS portal and no hard copy will be sent to the candidates. All communications will be thru the email ID/ Mobile number provided by the candidates in his/her online application.
10. Applications with incomplete / wrong particulars will be not considered. The email ID & Mobile number provided in online Registration/ application should remain valid for at least one year. Candidates must use proper e-mail IDs created in their names. Applications with pseudo/fake email IDs will attract appropriate actions under the law.
11. HPCL will not be responsible for any loss/ non-delivery of email/admit card sent/ any other communication sent, due to invalid/ wrong email id or contact number.
12. All the candidates given in the online registration form will be treated as final & no changes will be entertained. Any request for change in category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC-NC/PwBD-[VH/OH/HH]) once filled in the online Registration/Application Form will not be considered and accordingly concessions/relaxation applicable will not be extended.
13. Depending upon number of applications, HPCL reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and modify the selection process.
14. HPCL reserves the right to determine the total number of apprentices to be engaged/candidates to be selected at any stage of selection process.
15. Reimbursement of 2nd class rail fare by the shortest route for interview is admissible of outstation SC, ST, PwBD candidates appearing for interview, provided the distance travelled is not less than 30km. The candidates will be required to fill the Travel Allowance (TA) Form as detailed on HPCL website (www.hpclcareers.com-Downloads-Downloads_for_Apprentices) and submit it along with original Tickets/Travel Proof for travel undertaken. Travel allowance will be processed through online mode.
16. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview/medical tests without assigning any reasons.
17. All the candidates are required to remain updated at each step of the selection process by visiting NATS portal.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) was formed on July 15, 1974. Its CIN No. is L23201MH1952GOI008858. HPCL is a Schedule ‘A’ CPSE a Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company with a ranking of 54 with Annual Gross sales of Rs. 2,69,243 crore during FY 2020-21. HPCL enjoys over 18% market share in India and has a strong presence in Refining & Marketing of petroleum products in the country.
HPCL owns and operates Refineries at Mumbai & Visakhapatnam with designed capacities of 7.5 MMTPA & 8.3 MMTPA respectively. HPCL also owns the largest Lube Refinery in the country at Mumbai for producing Lube Oil Base Stocks with a capacity of 428 TMTPA. HPCL holds 48.99% equity stake in JV Company, HMEL which operates a 11.3 MMTPA capacity refinery in Punjab and also has 16.96% equity stake in MRPL which operates a 15 MMTPA capacity refinery in Karnataka.
