Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (Hooghly CSL), a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, invites Online applications from eligible ITI (Trade) certificate holders for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training. This is a great opportunity for candidates who passed ITI during 2021-2025 and are domiciled in West Bengal.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for ITI (Trade) Apprentices

• Essential Qualification:
  • Pass in Xth Standard.
  • Pass in ITI (National Trade Certificate – NTC) in any one of the trades mentioned in the vacancy table.
  • Candidates having qualifications equivalent to the prescribed qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as on 08.01.2026.
• Physical Standards: As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules 1992, and the amendments thereof.
• Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification during the calendar years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025.
  • Must be domicile of West Bengal.
  • Only Indian Nationals need to apply.

Training Period & Restrictions

• The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year.
• Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organization for any duration under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 are not eligible to apply.

Salary / Stipend

The selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹ 11,000/- per month. No travel expenses, boarding, or lodging will be provided during the training period.

Selection Process

The selection will be done based on the following steps:

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification. If the percentage is the same, merit will be decided based on the seniority in the passing year.
• Certificate Verification: Shortlisted candidates must bring original certificates for verification (Age, Qualification, Marks, etc.).
• Final Selection: Provisional selection will be based on merit order, subject to medical fitness.
