Vacancy Details – MP-IDSA Librarian and Information Officer 2026

Note: The post is contractual for 3 years (including 6 months probation) and does not confer permanency.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university/institute.
• Computer knowledge of MS-Office and library software is essential.
• Desirable: PhD / M.Phil in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years in a managerial capacity in a library of a recognized university / institution of higher learning / reputed research organization.
• Skilled in advanced library management software, hybrid library management, electronic resources, and modern information tools.
• Excellent communication skills.

Age Limit

Not more than 50 years as on the last date of application (15 July 2026). Relaxation for MP-IDSA employees not applicable to others. PwD candidates applying against UR vacancies get age relaxation as per rules.

Salary & Other Benefits
