Librarian – 1 Post

• Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale, or at least 60% marks, or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven-point scale, and a consistently good academic record as prescribed in the Regulations.
• Experience: Holding an analogous post or at least ten years' experience as a Deputy Librarian in the library of a technical university, institute of national importance, or any other large technical library, with at least three years spent on a post in PB-4 (Rs. 37400 – Rs. 67000) with GP of Rs. 8700 or an equivalent post.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years as on the last date of application.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection of candidates for the post of Librarian at IIEST Shibpur will be based on the following stages:

• Screening Test – A preliminary screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates.
• Presentation – Shortlisted candidates may be required to make a presentation on a topic related to library management.
• Interview – A final interview / viva-voce will be conducted by the Selection Committee.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending any stage of the selection process.
