Recruitment Overview

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIITA) has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This recruitment is for a prestigious project sponsored by the DoT-TTDF (TTDF/6G/214) titled "Design and Analysis of a Semantic Learning-Based Architecture for End-toEnd Communication with Resource Management."

This is a Direct Recruitment opportunity based on merit and interview performance (no competitive written exam). Selected candidates will work under the supervision of Dr. Suneel Yadav and Dr. Radhika Gour. The position offers a duration of up to 3 years and an opportunity to enroll in the Ph.D. program at IIITA. Candidates with GATE/NET scores will be preferred, but non-GATE candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Essential: M.Tech/M.S./M.E. or equivalent in ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering)/CSE (Computer Science and Engineering)/IT (Information Technology).
• Undergraduate Requirement: Must have B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc. in ECE/CSE/IT or equivalent.
• Examination Status: Non-GATE/NET candidates are encouraged to apply. However, candidates with a qualified GATE/NET score in the relevant area will be given preference.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Basics of wireless communications and machine learning.
  • Coding Skills: MATLAB/Python.

2. Age Limit

As per DST norms and Institute rules. No specific upper age limit is mentioned, but candidates must be eligible for Ph.D. enrollment.

3. Mandatory Requirements

• Candidates must provide a valid Email ID for communication.
• Applicants in employment (private/government) must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer at the time of the interview.
• Candidates selected for JRF can also apply for the regular Ph.D. program (subject to eligibility).

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment based on merit and interview. There is no preliminary or mains exam.

• Stage 1: Shortlisting - Based on academic merit and project needs.
• Stage 2: Interview/Written Test - Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email. No TA/DA will be provided.
• Stage 3: Final Selection - Based on interview performance.

Important Note on Ph.D. Registration

• Selected JRFs will be registered as regular Ph.D. scholars after qualifying the institute's Ph.D. admission/selection test.
• Once registered, the candidate is eligible to draw fellowship and allowances as per Institute rules.
