Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Gati Shakti Chair Professor

• Essential (Option 1): Regular/Retired faculty members holding the position of Professor at Institutes/Universities of repute. Must possess a PhD in Supply Chain Management or Logistics and Distribution Management from a reputed institution. Should have demonstrated research through quality academic publications.
• Essential (Option 2): Professor of Practice. Person with at least 15 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics in Government/Private Sector organizations of repute. Must have significant demonstrable contributions (academic journals, industry white papers, policy documents).
• Experience (Preferred): Prior experience as Principal Investigator (PI)/Co-PI in research/consulting projects in the domain.
• Age Limit: Should not exceed 60 years of age (as on 31 October 2025).

Incentives & Allowances

• House Rent Allowance: Rs. 30,000/- per month
• Medical Allowance: Rs. 5,000/- per month
• Transport Allowance: Rs. 7,500/- per month
• Telephone & Internet Allowance: Rs. 1,500/- per month
• Performance Incentives: Rs. 20,000/- (2nd Year), Rs. 30,000/- (3rd Year), Rs. 40,000/- (4th Year), Rs. 60,000/- (5th Year).
• Gratuity & Leave Encashment: Payable as per extant rules at the end of the 5-year tenure.
