| Senior Research Fellow (SRF) | Essential: Master's degree in Plant Biotechnology/Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Microbiology with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor's degree (1st Division). OR Graduate degree in Basic Sciences (3 years Bachelor's + 2 years Master's) with NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF (PhD entrance) qualification and 2 years of research experience. OR B.Tech. + M.Tech (5-year integrated degree). Desirable: Experience in plant physiology, biochemistry, molecular techniques (PCR, cloning), genetic transformation, plant tissue culture, and transgenic analysis. |
Maximum 35 years for men; 40 years for women. Relaxation for reserved categories as per GOI rules. |
Educational Qualification & Experience:Master's degree in relevant Life Sciences disciplines with specific Bachelor's degree duration requirements. NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF qualification and research experience may be required for candidates with a 3-year Bachelor's degree. Desirable experience in molecular biology and genetic transformation techniques.
Skills:Plant physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology techniques (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, cloning), genetic transformation, plant tissue culture, transgenic analysis.
Age Limit:Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories as per Government of India rules.
Emoluments:
₹37,000 per month + HRA (as per Central Government rates applicable in various locations).
Selection Procedure:
- Screening of applications based on eligibility criteria, educational performance, and relevant research experience.
