IIM Udaipur Invites Application for Professor Recruitment 2022

IIM Udaipur invites applications for the position of Professor of Practice - Analytics who will contribute to the analytics-related academic activities at the Institute.

2. Eligibility

a. Required qualification is a master’s degree (or equivalent professional qualification) from a reputed national and international institution.

b. Candidates should have not less than 15 years of managerial or professional experience and should have worked in senior management positions for at least 5 years.

c. Candidates with non-business degrees such as Master's in Psychology, Master's in Social Work, Chartered Accountant, etc. would also be considered.

d. PhD (FPM) is desirable but not essential. However, a lack of PhD must be offset by demonstrated domain knowledge, obtained from deep experience in the 'field'.

3. Responsibilities

a. You will be teaching related courses in the core and electives, writing cases and practitioner articles, and mentoring students in their projects and getting them ready for placement in the industry.

b. You will be responsible for the setting up and management of the analytics lab at the Institute.

c. You will be interacting with industry to solicit projects, guiding and mentoring students in doing projects.

d. You will also liaise with faculty and industry for research and policy-related topics.

4. Pay scale

a. Depending on the relevant years of experience, the selected candidate would be offered a position of “Assistant Professor of Practice”, "Associate Professor of Practice" or "Professor of Practice".

b. The selected candidates would receive a consolidated salary. The overall compensation will be equivalent to that of a regular position.

5. Duration and nature of engagement: This is a contractual appointment. The offer would be for an initial period of three years and can be reappointed further for a period upto five years based on performance.

Selection Procedure

1. The Institute will communicate only with shortlisted candidates.

2. Candidates would be shortlisted based on qualification, work experience, demonstrated interest in academic activities and statement of purpose.

3. Shortlisted candidates would be invited to IIMU to present a recruitment seminar and personal interaction with a selection committee.
