Indian Institute of Packaging is an autonomous and apex body working under the Ministry of Commerce &Industry, Govt. of India for promotion of packaging standards and exports in the country since 1966. With its Headquarters and Principal Laboratories in Mumbai and other Regional Offices, activities of the Institute are in line with those of the world's Premiere Packaging Institutes. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of contractual staff at IP as given below:
1. Staff engagement is purely contractual and temporary and the contractual vacancies are indicative and may increase or decrease as per requirement of the Institute

4. Essential Qualification: A Master's degree (M. Sc /M. Tech/ MS) in Science/Applied Science/Packaging Technology/Printing Technology/Material Science/Food Technology/Pharmaceutical Science/Polymer 3cieuue/Ceiauie/Paper Technology/Packaging Designing technology Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Technologist or equivalent with 55% marks from an Post-Harvest Chemical Dairy Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited University. foreign Desirable: NET/SLET conducted by UGC, CSIR and State Government.
5. Experience: High preference will be given to PhD and NET qualified candidates and to candldates having experience in packaging and relevant field or Master's degree with five years experience in packaging related field.
6. Fixed Consolidated Remuneration Rs.55,000/- for Ph.D. & Rs.45,000/- for Masters (consolidated)

1. The temporary and contractual engagement is purely on contract basis. Applications received in response to this advertisement will be shortlisted on the basis of the qualification and experience of applicants. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview for selection as per above stated vacancies.
2. Only shortlisted candidates shall be informed by email to appear for the interview.
3. Shortlisted candidates may be called for service on weekends or holidays or beyond normal working hours for which no extra remuneration will be paid.

The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is a national apex body which was set up in 1966 by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, with the specific objective of improving the packaging standards in the country. The Institute is an autonomous body working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce.
The Institute endeavors to improve the standard of packaging needed for the promotion of exports and create infrastructural facilities for overall packaging improvement in India. This is achieved through the Institute’s multifarious activities which are today, in line with those of premier packaging institutes the world over. The Institute aims to make India a focal point for contemporary developments in Art, Science, Technology and Engineering, with respect to the field of Packaging.
The Institute began in a very humble way, with an office at Mumbai. It has now expanded, with its Head Quarter at Mumbai and Centers located at Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
