Educational Qualification: B.Sc
Applications are invited for the post of “Field Worker” for a research project entitled “Source apportionment, development of emission inventory and carrying capacity determination for Durgapur, Asansol and Raniganj in West Bengal” funded by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board.
1. Name of the post: Field Worker
2. Number of posts: 03
3. Duration: Initially for 6 months, extendable upon satisfactory performance.
4. Salary: Rs. 18,000 pm + 16% HRA
5. Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. in Atmospheric Science or Environmental Science/Studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute.
6. Research Experience for Position:
Preference will be given to candidates with field experience in operating and maintaining PM speciation samples and meteorological instruments. Experience with PM filter weighing, laboratory chemicaland data analysis will be an added advantage
7. Job Profile: Filter preparation, sampling, data entry, basic files preparation and data consolidation using MS office and day-to-day maintenance of instruments, maintaining log and data records. Performing Data Quality Assurance /Quality Control exercises.
