Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for the promotion of high-quality science education and research in the country. Indian Nationals fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend walk-in Interviews under the funded project titled “Maharashtra State Development of Educators and Enhancement in Delivery (MS-DEED)” (Proj. code: 33821564) funded by Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA):

1. Name of the Post: Senior Teaching Associate (STA)

2. Number of posts: 01 (One)

3. Minimum educational qualification & experience: Ph.D. in Science / Mathematics or related disciplines with experience in teachers training programs / workshops etc. Candidates who have submitted their thesis may also apply.

4. Preference: Candidates having: Experience in teaching at undergraduate level at a reputed institute, Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills, Experience in teacher training workshops and developing resources for training teachers, Experience in designing curricula for students and teachers in inquiry based, active learning methods in science education, particularly at the undergraduate and post graduate level, Experience in management of capacity building programs for teachers in science / mathematics education, Experience in science education at the undergraduate level, Experience in online-teaching and LMS handling (e.g. Moodle) Will be preferred.

5. Job Requirement: Incumbent is expected to organize pedagogy workshops for college teachers and hands-on science/ mathematics activity workshops, develop online resources for teachers on how to teach science and mathematics effectively, design and conduct residential program for undergraduate teachers, develop partnerships with universities and colleges to organize seminars, meetings and workshops etc. and create and maintain teacher networks

6. Tenure of the appointment: Initially for a period of one year, which may be extended subject to continuation of the project and satisfactory performance of the incumbent

7. Consolidated emoluments: Rs. 55,000/- per month Candidates who have submitted their thesis, but not completed defense (i.e. candidates without a provisional certificate of having qualified for the degree), will be paid Rs. 45,000/- per month till the time of submission of Provisional Ph.D. certificate.
