IIT Goa Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited for the position of JRF under the Project titled “Composite structure under shock and high velocity impact” in the School of Mechanical Sciences, IIT Goa. The project is sponsored by SERB in the frame work of Start-up Research Grant

1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow

2. No of Post: 01

3. Nature of work: Development of computational methods for composite materials when subjected to high velocity impact/shock dominated loading. Expected to work majorly in area of finite element analysis/programming.

4. Duration of appointment: For a period of 1 year.

5. Essential qualification: M. Tech. in Design Engineering/ Applied Mechanics/ Mechanical Engineering. First Division or equivalent. A GATE Qualification but valid GATE is not required.

6. Desirable : Should have knowledge of Strength of Material. Familiarity with LS Dyna.

7. Salary: Rs. 31,000/-

Selection Procedure

If the number of applications received in response to advertisement is large. The constituted selection committee may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit of desirable qualification and /or on the record of academic performance and/or any other benchmark decided by a committee constituted to screen the applications. No communication will be entertained with candidates who are not called for Interview.
