IIT Ropar Invites Application for JRF Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited for a junior research fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Ropar under the project titled “Design and development of an IoT enabled Pulse-Oximeter system for integrating with oxygen concentrators”.

i. The overall objective of the project is to design a pulse-oximeter system using commercially available electronic components for closed-loop control of blood oxygen saturation by integrating it with a standard oxygen concentrator.

2. Essential qualifications:

a. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Eng./ VLSI/ Electronics Eng./ Electronics and Instrument Eng/ Biomedical Eng./ Equivalent branches with a GATE or CSIR UGC NET qualified score. OR Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication Eng./

b. Electronics Eng./ Electronics and Instrument Eng/ Biomedical instrumentation/ Equivalent Engineering or Technology branches with a GATE or CSIR UGC NET qualified score. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST) in their Bachelor’s and Master's degrees.

3. Desired qualifications: Experience in electronic circuit and PCB design, soldering, testing, characterization and prototype development will be an added advantage.

4. Duration: The position is for twelve months in total.

5. Salary: A consolidated salary of Rs. 31000/- per month will be provided as per the institute norms.

Selection Procedure

The selected candidates will be called for an online interview in the first or second week of April 2022 (tentatively).
