Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by Aeronautics Research & Development Board (ARDB), Government of India. 1. Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 2. Title of the Research Project: Development of Localized Gradient Damage based Extended-FE Model for Fatigue Analysis of Aircraft Components 3. Project Number: ARDB/01/1052013/M/I 4. Brief description of the Project: The main objectives are: - • Development of a damage model for fatigue life estimation of aluminium aircraft components. • Extension of the damage model with X-FEM for fatigue life estimation under different loading conditions. 5. Duration: 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier. 6. Position: 01 7. Essential Qualifications: a. B.Tech in Mechanical and M.Tech in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering/Applied Mechanics from a recognized institute. Candidates must have obtained at least 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA out of 10 in their Master's with GATE score. b. Exceptional candidates having B.Tech/B.E degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with at least 70% marks or 7.5 CGPA out of 10 and valid GATE score can apply for the position. 8. Desirable Qualifications: Candidate having basic knowledge of MATLAB/Fortran/Abaqus will be given preference. 9. Emoluments: As per ARDB rules.
