Educational Qualification: Diploma, MCA, PGDCA
1. Name of the Post: Technical Assistant (Contractual)
2. Monthly Remuneration: 20,762.00 (gross) (statutory deduction as per rules)
3. Nature and duration of the appointment: The position is purely contractual and initially for 11 months. Subjected to extension based on the performance and institute policy.
4. Job Description: The person will work in the audio/video unit and help in smooth conduction of online/offline classes/meetings using various audio video devices. The person should work at least 6 days a week and may also have to give support on weekends/holidays as per the requirement.
5. Required Qualification and Experience: Degree/Three Years Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Application/Electronics/IT or MCA or PGDCA from a recognized university with working experience of two years in the field of Computer/IT/AV Devises/Classroom maintenance etc.
6. Desirable qualification: Working experience in video editing software, maintenance of IT and AV devised in classrooms, conducting online meetings/classes etc.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Government of India. IISER Kolkata is designed to reach the prestigious position in the global setting that IISc, IIMs and IITs presently enjoy. IISER Kolkata is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees. The central theme of the IISER Kolkata is to integrate education with research so that undergraduate teaching as well as doctoral and postdoctoral research work could be carried out in basic sciences.
