Indian Nursing Council (INC) was founded on 1st December 1958. The council is expedient to constitute to established a uniform standard of training for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors. The aim of the council is to monitor and inspection of nursing institutions in Country.
The council prescribe minimum standards of education and training for various nursing programmes, syllabus and advise the State Nursing Council, Examining Board, State Government and Central Government about various important aspects regarding Nursing Education in India.
The Council also conducting inspection of various Nursing Training Programs in discipline like: Auxilliary Nurse & Midwifery, General Nursing & Midwifery, B.Sc (Basic), B.Sc (Post Basic), M.Sc, M.Phil, Ph.D., etc.
