Educational Qualification:A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate indicating they are a graduate on the day of registration.
Age Limit & Relaxation:Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01.08.2026 (born between 02.08.1996 and 01.08.2006). Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), PwBD (10 years), Ex-Servicemen & 1984 Riot Affected (5 years). Cumulative relaxation for SC/ST/OBC up to max 50 years.
Salary & Emoluments: Scale of Pay: Basic Pay ₹48,480 – 2,000/7 – 62,480 – 2,340/2 – 67,160 – 2,680/7 – 85,920. DA, HRA, CCA etc., as per rules. One advance increment for prior relevant experience (subject to conditions).
Selection Process:
- Online Examination (Objective Type - 140 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours).
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT) (for candidates who have not studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard).
- Personal Interview (100 marks).
Application Fee (Non-Refundable): SC/ST/PwBD: ₹175/- (Intimation Charges) inclusive of GST; GEN/EWS/OBC: ₹850/- inclusive of GST.

Candidates must apply online only through the IOB website from 08.08.2026 to 24.08.2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.

- Open the Link: Click on “Recruitment of Local Bank Officers – 2026-27” and select the post.
- Register Online: Click on the "Register Online" link and complete the registration process. Note the Registration Number and Password.

Key Instructions for Candidates
- Single State Application: Apply for only one state based on the vacancy table. Merit lists will be drawn state-wise and category-wise.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the applied state. If not studied in 10th/12th, they must qualify the LPT.
- Posting: Selected candidates will be posted within the applied state for the first 12 years or up to promotion to SMGS-IV grade.
- Bond: Selected candidates must execute a Financial Service Indemnity Bond for ₹2,00,000/- for a minimum service period of 3 years.
- Probation: Probation period is 2 years (active service).
- Online Examination: The exam will have 4 sections (Reasoning, General/Banking Awareness, Data Analysis, English) with separate timings and negative marking (0.25 marks per wrong answer).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Online Exam: 35% (Gen/EWS), 30% (Reserved). Interview: 50% (Gen/EWS), 45% (Reserved).
- Documents: Keep all original documents (Age, Educational, Caste, PwBD, Experience, etc.) and self-attested copies ready for the Personal Interview.
