Applications are invited for the following vacant post purely on contract basis at Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an Autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ghaziabad, through Manpower Resource Outsourcing Services Providing Agency.
1. Name of the Post: Senior Pharmacopoeial Associate
2. Salary: Rs.40,000/-
3. No of Posts: 03
4. Qualification: Master’s degree in Pharmacy/Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/or equivalent.
5. Desirable: Good knowledge of computers.
6. Experience: Minimum 05 years experience in drug testing and analysis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API)/Drug formulations, handling of modern analytical instruments, Pharmaceutical Research etc.
7. Place of Posting: Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad
8. Job Description:
i. Preparation & Evaluation of the documents as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017,ISO/IEC 17043:2010 and ISO 17034:2016.
ii. Planning and execution for conducting Proficiency Testing programme as per ISO/IEC 17043:2010.
iii. Involved in statistical calculations for Homogeneity, Stability, Characterization and transportation of Proficiency Testing items as per ISO 13528:2015, ISO/IEC 17043:2010 and ISO 17034:2016.
9. Period of engagement: The tenure of contract will be for period of one year. However, in case the work and conduct of the staff is not found to be satisfactory during the contract tenure, the services may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof.

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It was established in the year 1945 with the aim of setting standards for all drugs that are manufactured, sold and consumed in India.
The IPC is responsible for publishing the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP), which is the official book of standards for drugs included in the Indian Pharmacopoeia. The IP is updated regularly to ensure that the standards for drugs are up-to-date and in line with the latest scientific developments.
In addition to setting standards for drugs, the IPC also undertakes research and development activities in the field of drug standards, provides training and support to drug analysts and regulators, and collaborates with national and international organizations to promote the quality of drugs.
The IPC is committed to ensuring the safety, efficacy and quality of drugs in India and plays a key role in protecting public health.
