Skills / Eligibility
Walk-in-interviews in the Electronics & Communication Sciences Unit (9th Floor, Satyen Bose Bhavan/Library Building) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of three (03) Project linked persons (one position in Category 'A' and two positions in Category 'B') purely on temporary basis in the Electronics & Communication Sciences Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata of the following research projects titled (l) "Neural Atkinson Model for Video Captioning"; and (2) "Dioital Restoration and Reconstruction of Indian Heritage Artefacts with focus on Murals, Manuscripts and Sculptures using Big Data Technology" respectively with preventive measures not to spread COVID-19 global pandemic as directed by the Government of India. 1. Post Name: Project linked person 2. No of Posts: 03 3. Essential: M.E./ M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or related discipline with good academic record, M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Statistics/ Mathematics or equivalent, final year final semester students can also apply. Strong knowledge in Python programming is essential. 4. Desirable: At least one year of experience working in Image Processing/ Computer Vision/ Machine Learning related subjects. 5. Pay: A consolidated pay ranging between 28000/- (Rupees twenty-eight thousand only) to 35000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand only) per month (consolidated) depending on the qualification and experience of the selected candidate(s). 6. Tenure of appointment: Duration of appointment for Category 'A' is upto 31 March 2022 and for Category 'B' is upto one (01) year from the date of his/ her joining the institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds & performance of the candidate.

1. Walk-in-interviews will be conducted at 11:30 am on 10 March 2022 (Thursday) in the Electronics & Communication Sciences Unit (9th Floor, Satyen Bose Bhavan/Library Building) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata
2. Candidates appearing for the interview will be required to bring their photo ID cards and current curriculum vitae (in English) addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Computer & Communication Sciences Division, Indian Statistical Institute stating

3. At the time of joining, the selected candidate has to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.
4. Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose. The Institute reserves the right not to appoint any of the above.
