Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Invites Application for Consultant Recruitment 2022

The School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies (SOITS) invites applications for the post of consultants in the Discipline of Philosophy, initially for a period of six months purely on a Temporary/Contractual basis:

1. Post Name: Consultant

2. Name of the School/Centre/Division/Unit: School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies (SOITS)

3. Number of Consultant(s) required: Full-Time: 1

4. Qualification: Essential: Master Degree in Philosophy with 55% marks for general category or 50% marks for reserved category and Net qualified/Ph.D as per UGC guideline.

5. Desirable :

a) Experience in Open and Distance Learning (ODL)

b) Basic knowledge of computers

c) Knowledge of English & Hindi 4. Age Specification: As per IGNOU norms

6. Work Experience: Essential: Skills in writing, content editing in the discipline of Philosophy, drafting and translation (English into Hindi)

7. Desirable : Experience in Open and Distance Learning (ODL)

8. Duration for which proposed: 01/03/2022 to 28/02/2024

9. Proposed Emoluments : Full-time: Rs. 40,000/- to 60,000/-

10. If enhancement of Emoluments is proposed please indicate frequency: N.A

Selection Procedure

1. Shortlisted candidates shall bring one set of self attested photocopies of all certificates, original certificates (for verification), address-proof (AADHAR CARD / PASSPORT / Driving License) and a passport size photograph.

2. The shortlisted candidates shall be informed through email along with the schedule of interview to their email ID.

3. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the test/interview. Outstation candidates shall make their own arrangements for stay at Delhi and the university will not provide any accommodation etc.
