Educational Qualification:Post-specific qualifications as detailed in the eligibility table. All candidates must have completed their qualifying exam within the last five years.

Age Limit:As per the Apprenticeship Act, 2025. Candidates should have completed their qualifying exam within the last five years.
Stipend (per month):
Stipend ranges from ₹9,600 to ₹12,300 per month, depending on the category and trade, as detailed in the vacancy table. 50% is paid by CSIR-IMMT and 50% is the government share.
Selection Procedure:
- Walk-in Interview based on performance.

This recruitment does not use an online application form. Eligible candidates must follow the walk-in process below.
- Portal Registration: Register on the NATS 2.0 (Diploma/Graduate candidates) or NAPS (ITI candidates) portal.
- Send Confirmation Email: Send a confirmation email of participation to [email protected] by 11:00 AM on 17 August 2026.
- Download and Fill Application: Download and fill the Application Form (Annexure-I) provided with the notification.
- Report on Time: Report to S.S. Bhatnagar Hall, CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar between 9:30 AM and 10:15 AM on 18 August 2026 for registration and document verification.
- Carry Documents: Carry the filled application form along with self-attested photocopies of: 10th mark sheet and certificate; +2/Diploma/Degree mark sheet and certificate; Aadhaar card; Caste/Disability certificate (if applicable); and Bank passbook copy.
- Attend Interview: Attend the walk-in interview scheduled at 10:30 AM on 18 August 2026.
Important: Candidates arriving after the 10:15 AM reporting cut-off will not be permitted.

CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) was established on 13.04.1964 as Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneswar in the eastern part of India under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. It was renamed in 2007 with a renewed research focus and growth strategy to be a leader in the areas of mineral & material resource engineering. The institute has expertise in conducting basic research and technology oriented programs in a wide range of subjects to address the R&D problems of mining, mineral and metals industries and ensure their sustainable development. For the last one decade, the main thrust of R&D at CSIR-IMMT has been to empower Indian industries to meet the challenges of globalization by providing advanced and zero waste process know-how and consultancy services for commercial exploitation of natural resources through the public-private-partnership (PPP) approach. Today, CSIR-IMMT is the first choice for many mineral based industries. It is also carving out a niche in processing of advanced materials for greater value addition and working on resource use efficiency of critical raw materials.
