Educational Qualification: Research Associate: PhD* in Life Sciences

Junior Research Fellowship: First Class M.Sc. with NET (JRF/LS) in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Medical Physics/Nuclear Medicine Physics Or First Class B.Tech with valid GATE score in Applied Physics/Engineering Physics Or M.E./M.Tech in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Engineering Physics with First Class at Graduate and Post Graduate level (M.E./M.Tech. is exempted from NET/GATE as per guidelines.)

Experience: Research Associate: . Experience of experimental animals handling and biofluid withdrawal

Junior Research Fellowship: Specialisation/work experience in Nuclear/ Radiological/Medical/Computational physics or Post M.Sc. diploma in Radiological Physics from
AERB recognised Institute/University ii. Experience/knowledge of programing languages (C++, Python, MATLAB) and Operating system Linux

Age Limit: 35 years for RA & 28 years for JRF as on the date of interview. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3 years).

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Research Associate, Junior Research Fellowship in INMAS DRDO.

Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS) is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Located in New Delhi, it is involved in Nuclear medicine research and responding to nuclear accidents and explosions. The department of nuclear medicine under the institute offers a two year diploma in radiation medicine since 1968, making it the first formal training program in nuclear medicine in the world.

The origin of the institute can be traced back to the establishment of a Radiation Cell in 1956 at Defence Science Laboratory, Delhi. The initial assignment was to undertake a study on the consequences of the use of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. The cell was later upgraded to Radiation Medicine Division in 1959 and to the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences in 1961.
