Educational Qualification:
Research Associate (RA): PhD in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology Desirable Qualification: Candidate with following research experience will be given preference: 1. Experience in Research and Development for Radiation Counter Measures and Radiation Emergency management 2. Study of ionizing and nonionizing radiation effects on living systems. 3. Develop techniques for radiation protection and management of radiation emergencies. 4. Biomarker development for radiation emergencies.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): First Class M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Computational Chemistry/ Chemical Sciences/ Life Science/ Biomedical Sciences with NET (JRF/LS) qualification from any approved National agency.

Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS) is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Located in New Delhi, it is involved in Nuclear medicine research and responding to nuclear accidents and explosions. The department of nuclear medicine under the institute offers a two year diploma in radiation medicine since 1968, making it the first formal training program in nuclear medicine in the world.

The origin of the institute can be traced back to the establishment of a Radiation Cell in 1956 at Defence Science Laboratory, Delhi. The initial assignment was to undertake a study on the consequences of the use of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. The cell was later upgraded to Radiation Medicine Division in 1959 and to the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences in 1961.
