Educational Qualification:
Professor: 1. A Medical Qualification included in the I or II scheduled or Part II of the III schedule to the IMC Act of 1956. 2. A Postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. And/or 3. M.Ch. for surgical and D.M. for Medical Superspecialities or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Additional Professor: 1. A Post Graduate Qualification e.g. Master Degree, in the discipline speciality or equivalent. 2. A Doctorate degree like Ph.D. in the concerned speciality from a recognized University or a recognized qualification equivalent – thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
Assistant Professor: 1. A Medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the III schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the III Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in the Section 13(3) of the Act. 2. DM in Neurology i.e., requisite recognized specialization qualification in the subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) was established in compliance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in response to a public interest litigation in 1993. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Act 1860, funded jointly by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Government of NCT of Delhi. As an autonomous body, the institute has its Memorandum of Association and Rules and Regulations duly approved under the Societies Act. Minister for Health, Govt. of NCT of Delhi is the President and Chief Secretary, Govt. of NCT of Delhi is the Chairman of the Executive Council of the institute.
Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences was established in the year 1993. It is a mental health research institute located in New Delhi. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Act 1860, funded jointly by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Government of NCT of Delhi. It was established in compliance with the directives of the Honorable Supreme Court in response to a public interest litigation in 1993.
