Applications for postdoctoral position at Institute of Physics, Quantum Condensed Matter Theory Group are invited from eligible candidates. The successful candidate will have opportunity to work in the group of Prof. Arijit Saha and Prof. Saptarshi Mandal. Eligible criteria and other necessary information are given below
1. Post name : Postdoctoral Position
2. Eligibility: PhD degree in broad area of quantum condensed matter theory. Short listed Applicants will be asked to present a seminar to complete the application process. Those who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply.
3. Number of position: Available number of position is two.
4. Salary: Postdoctoral Fellowship will be as per the institute norm commensurate with the experience of the applicants
5. Tenure: Initial tenure is for one year and extendible to another year subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
6 .Expertise desired: Application of Floquet method in driven quantum systems, application of quantum many body method, quantum monte-carlo, density functional theory etc.
7 .Tentative starting date: April, 2022 subject to the availability of funds.

Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar is an autonomous research institution funded jointly by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and the Government of Odisha. The Institute was officially established in 1972 by the Government of Orissa, and registered in 1972 as a registered society under societies Registration Act 1860. The Institute started functioning under the directorship of Prof. T. Pradhan on September 4, 1974 in two rented rooms of the Utkal University Guest House. After a few months, the Institute moved to a rented house in Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar, where its academic activities got started in January 1975 with two Faculties besides the then Director, Prof. T. Pradhan. From 1974 to 1981, the Institute functioned in rented buildings and moved to its present campus in 1981. On March 25,1985, the Institute was taken over by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE).
