Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement as contractual Lecturers on academic arrangement in Civil Engineering for the Academic Session 2022:

2. No of Post : 04
3. Eligibility: B.E. / B. Tech and M. E. / M. Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 1st division or equivalent either at B. E./B. Tech. or at M.E./M. Tech. level. OR Ph.D from Institution of National importance with GATE directly after the Bachelor’s degree.
4. Emoluments : a. M. Tech with PhD : Rs. 35,000/- PM b. M. Tech : Rs. 33,000/- PM

Selection Procedure
1. The selection of a candidate shall be based on approved University policy (50% academic merit etc. and 50% interview performance).
2. If the number of candidates is more, shortlisting shall be done on the basis of academic merit etc. (50% component). For one vacancy 20 candidates and for every subsequent vacancy 5 additional candidates shall be short listed for interview.
3. The screening criteria and determination of academic merit shall be as per University policy
How to Apply:
1. Last date for submission of online application form : 30/04/2022
2. Eligible candidates shall apply online and submit the downloaded application form complete in all respects and duly supported by attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates, and testimonials in the Department of Civil Engineering by or before the last date for submission of hardcopies, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered.
3. Candidates should mention only their best five UGC- care listed publications in the application form.
4. Hard copies of the said five publications may be attached with the application form to be submitted in the department for assessment of points allocated under publications.
5. Extra publications, if any, submitted shall not be evaluated
6. Further information/updates/corrigendum/addendum (if any) shall be uploaded only on University website www.iust.ac.in. The candidates are advised to remain in touch with University website and notifying the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on University part.

The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, J&K has been established through an Act No. XVIII of 2005 dated: 7th November 2005 passed by J&K State Legislature and notified by the State Government, through Jammu & Kashmir Government Gazette dated: 11-11-2005. While the university started functioning in November, 2005 the teaching programme was started in July 2006. The Chancellor of the University is the Lieuteutant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and the executive authority of the University is its Executive Council with the Vice Chancellors of University of Jammu, University of Kashmir and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University as members. The University is accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B+’ and is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) and Section 12(b) of UGC Act.
The Technical and nursing programmes offered by the University are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indian Nursing Council (INC). The University has the membership of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University came into existence with a mandate to advance and disseminate knowledge, wisdom and understanding amongst all segments of the society within and outside the State. It is also charged with creating an environment for learning, teaching and research in the sciences, technology, humanities and social sciences and that is in keeping with the highest standards of scholarship and higher education.
