Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Passed the final BDS Examination on or before 15 November 2026.
• Recognition: The parent institution must be recognized by the National Dental Commission (NDC) and not de-recognized from admission until passing.
• University Permission: Candidate must obtain permission from the university to which their college is affiliated.
• Stipend & Fee: Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹3,000 per month and must pay a training fee of ₹1,75,000 via Demand Draft in favor of "Registrar, JMI", payable at New Delhi, before the internship starts.
• Duration: One year as per NDC guidelines. No part-time internship or extension.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Selection is made on the basis of merit and an interview. The stages are as follows:

1. Verification of Documents: 18 November 2026.
2. Interview: 23 November 2026, from 11:00 AM onwards, in the Conference Room, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025.
3. Declaration of Result (Tentative): 27 November 2026.
4. Commencement of Internship: 01 December 2026.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. Applications without required documents will be summarily rejected. No extension will be given for submitting any document.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

Attach the following documents to the application form:

• An application giving your reasons for wanting to do the internship at the Faculty of Dentistry, JMI, with documentary proof.
• Self-attested photocopies of the marksheets of all BDS Annual Examinations (each part/year).
• An attempt certificate issued by the University/College, showing the number of attempts and the percentage of marks in each part/year.
• A No Objection Certificate from your parent institution, covering its recognition as described above.
• Permission from the university your college is affiliated to, allowing you to do the internship at the Faculty of Dentistry, JMI, subject to selection.
• A certificate of good character and conduct from your parent institution.
• Documentary evidence of any distinction or medal awarded in any subject in a University Examination.
• An undertaking with three parts: (a) prepared to do the internship on the stipend of ₹3000/- per month and will deposit ₹1,75,000/- as the fee if selected; (b) will follow the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Dentistry, JMI's internship program and will not ask for an extension; (c) will maintain good conduct, discipline and decorum, and accept that the University authorities have the right to expel for misconduct without liability.
• Two photographs: one self-attested, pasted on the application form, and one without attestation.
• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN) and Proof of Date of Birth (Matriculation Certificate / Birth Certificate).

Important: The application must reach the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025, by 16 November 2026, 04:00 PM. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay in postal delivery.
