JPSC Drug Inspector Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 30 Posts

Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced a major recruitment drive for Drug Inspectors. This is a permanent position under the State Drug Control Directorate. Eligibility for Drug Inspector (Aushadhi Nirikshak)

  • Essential Qualification: Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by law (as per Rule No. 49 of Drug & Cosmetics Rules 1945).
  • Experience:
    1. Not less than 18 months experience in the Manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule C,
    OR
    2. Not less than 18 months experience in testing of at least one of the substances in Schedule C in a laboratory approved by the licensing authority,
    OR
    3. Not less than three years experience in the inspection of firms manufacturing substances in Schedule C as Drugs Inspectors.
  • Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024):
    - Minimum: 21 years
    - Maximum (General): 35 years
    - BC/EBC: 37 years
    - Female (UR/BC/EBC): 38 years
    - SC/ST: 40 years
    - EWS: 35 years
    - PwBD (UR): 45 years
    - PwBD (BC/EBC): 47 years
    - PwBD (Female): 48 years
    - PwBD (SC/ST): 50 years
  • Desirable: As per Drug & Cosmetics Rules 1945, Rule 49 specifications.

🎯 Selection Process

  • Written Examination: Objective type, 5 papers (Total 1000 marks, 2 hours each).
  • Interview: 100 marks.
  • Total Marks: 1100 (1000 Written + 100 Interview).
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/EWS: 40%; BC: 36.5%; BC (Category-I): 34%; SC/ST/Female: 32%; Primitive Tribal Group: 30%.
