Eligibility Criteria (In-Depth)

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications relevant to their discipline:

  • Engineering Streams (Automobile, Civil, CS, EE, ECE, Mech, Mining, etc): B.E./B.Tech./B.S. in the relevant discipline or equivalent with First Class.
  • Science/Arts Streams (Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics): Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with First Class AND NET/SLET/SET/JET qualification.

2. Age Limit & Relaxation

  • Age Calculation Date: 1st August 2025. (Candidates must check their age as on this date).
  • Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Jharkhand Government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates (typically 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC).

Selection Process (Merit & Interview)

Since there is no written examination, the selection is strictly merit-based on the following criteria:

Stage 1: Preparation of Merit List (80 Marks)

The Commission prepares a merit list based on Academic Record/Achievements (80 marks). Candidates with higher academic scores, publications, and NET/SET/JET/GATE scores are prioritized.

Stage 2: Document Verification

5 times candidates against each post will be called for Document Verification.

Stage 3: Interview (20 Marks)

After Document Verification, 3 times candidates against each post will be called for the Interview. The interview carries 20 marks.

Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case of a tie in total marks:

  1. Candidate with higher marks in Post-Graduation is placed higher.
  2. If still equal, the older candidate (by age) is placed higher.
