Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rayagada, a co-educational institution, run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development was established in the year 2007. It started functioning in its office in Jeypore Sugar Factory Quarters at Rayagada from 28th February 2007 but now shifted to its own permanent campus on 08.09.2016 located at Utkalmani Nagar, Jayaramguda, after functioning in Old Collectorate Building, Municipal Campus, Rayagada in temporary accommodation provided by the District Administration Authority. Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rayagada firmly believes that a true education implies all-round development of a child and so besides academic excellence stress is laid on many co-curricular activities- such as games and sports, scout and guide, drawing and painting to name a few to stimulate the latent talents of the budding citizens of India.
