Eligibility Criteria for KAU Assistant Professor 2026

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from a recognized university.
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent) from Kerala Agricultural University or an accredited institution.
• NET (ASRB/ICAR/UGC-CSIR/AICTE) OR PhD in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016. Candidates with PhD before July 11, 2009 are exempted if they meet publication and viva conditions.
• PhD from a foreign university ranked in top 500 (QS/THE/ARWU) is also acceptable.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of Malayalam language (read and write).
• PhD in relevant subject recognized by KAU.

Age Limit

Maximum 50 years as on 01.01.2026. Relaxation as per KAU rules.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of ₹44,100 per month. The position is contractual for one year with no claim to permanency. One casual leave per month (max 10 per year) is admissible.

Selection Process for KAU Assistant Professor 2026

The selection will be based on a walk-in interview scheduled on 20 August 2026 at 9 AM at KCAEFT, Tavanur. If the number of applicants is large, a written screening test may be conducted to shortlist candidates for the interview. Candidates must bring original certificates and self-attested copies, along with a filled bio-data in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).
