King George's Medical University (KGMU), Office of the Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Memorial & Associated Hospitals, Lucknow, has invited applications for the short-term recruitment of Non-PG Junior Residents through a Walk-in-Interview. This is an excellent opportunity for MBBS graduates seeking clinical experience in a premier government medical university.

Eligibility Criteria for Junior Resident (Non-PG)

• Essential Qualification: The candidates should have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) or equivalent degree recognized by NMC/MCI.
• Age Limit: The upper age limit for eligibility is 40 years as reckoned on the date of the interview. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh, widowed/divorced/legally separated women, and disabled/handicapped persons as per Government rules.
• Experience: Candidates can apply for these posts only up to 5 years from their internship completion dates.
• Service Bond: Service bond applicable as per G.O. No. 950/71-2-82/2017 dated 07th March, 2018. Maximum 36 months of service allowed (maximum 18 months in one department).
• Reservation: Reservation applies as per UP Government rules. Only candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for reservation benefits. Reserved category candidates with domicile other than UP will be treated as Unreserved.
• Registration: State Medical Registration is mandatory before joining if selected.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must download the application form from the KGMU website and submit it duly filled along with self-certified copies of documents and originals for verification.
• Last date for submission of the application is 05 February 2026.
• No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
• Affidavits (as per annexure 1 to 3) on Rs. 10/- e-stamp paper regarding previous experience and caste certificate are required at the time of joining.
