Eligibility Criteria 2026: Qualification & Age Limit

1. For Senior Resident (Un-registered)

• Education: Candidates must have passed M.D./M.S./DNB in the relevant specialty recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)/MCI.
• Age Limit: Maximum age is 45 years as per NMC rules.

2. For Non-PG Junior Resident

• Education: Candidates must have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) from a recognized institute.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years as on the date of Interview.
• Age Relaxation: A maximum of 5 years relaxation is provided to SC/ST/OBC candidates (domicile of UP), widowed/divorced women, and disabled persons as per Govt rules.
• Experience: Candidates can apply only up to 5 years from their internship completion date. Maximum service allowed is 36 months (max 18 months in one department).
