Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for General Manager (Operations & Maintenance)

• Essential Qualification: Officers from IRSSE/IRSEE/IRSME of Indian Railways or its subsidiary/sister concerns. Must hold a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from an AICTE/UGC recognized University/Institute.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience in Operations and/or Maintenance/Signalling/Rolling Stock.
  • Out of the total experience, a minimum of 12 years must be in executive/managerial cadre in Railway/subsidiary sister concerns/Rail PSUs, and/or Metro Rail Corporations.
  • Candidates must have sufficient exposure in planning, procurement, and contract management in Metro/Railway.
• Current Status: Must be a serving officer in SAG pay scale (Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200/- Level-14 CDA or Rs. 1,20,000-2,80,000/- IDA) or equivalent scale.
• Age Limit: Maximum 55 years (as on 01.04.2026).
