Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), a 50:50 Joint Venture of the Government of India and Government of Kerala, invites applications from experienced, dynamic, project-oriented, and motivated persons for the appointment of General Manager (Signalling & Telecom) or Chief Engineer (Signalling & Telecom). This recruitment drive aims to fill ONE post on either Regular/Deputation or Re-employment basis to oversee the Signalling & Telecom division of its projects.

Note: Only ONE post will be filled, either on Regular/Deputation basis OR on Re-employment basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for General Manager (Signalling & Telecom) / Chief Engineer (Signalling & Telecom)

• Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering from AICTE/UGC recognized University/Institute.
  • For Deputation: Serving IRSSE officers of Indian Railways.
  • For Re-employment: Retired IRSSE Officers of Indian Railways.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in executive/managerial cadre in Railway/Metro Rail Corporations/Rail PSUs.
  • Candidates must have worked in the Signalling & Telecom department.
• Scale/Pay Requirements:
  • For Deputation/Re-employment: Must be serving/retired officers from Railway/Metro Rail Companies at least in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000 (GP 10000) - CDA Pattern or Rs. 120000-280000 (IDA Pattern).
  • For Regular basis: Candidates working in PSU/Govt. Organization should be in the equivalent scale or have minimum two years’ experience in the immediate lower grade/equivalent scale.
  • Private Sector: Candidates from Private Sector will be considered subject to their present CTC being at least Rs. 2.20 lakh per month.
• Age Limit (as on 01/09/2025):
  • Deputation & Regular: Maximum 55 years.
  • Re-employment: Minimum 56 years & Maximum 62 years.
