Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Chief Engineer (Electrical)
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with Rolling Stock and/ or Traction background, from Government recognized University/ Institute.
- Experience:
- CDA Scale: Executives/Officers either working or empanelled in SAG Pay scale (Rs 1,44,200-2,18,200 or higher) or Selection Grade Pay scale (Rs 1,23,100-2,15,900 or higher) with a total of 17 years of post qualification work experience at Group- A Gazetted/Executive Level.
- IDA Scale: Executives/Officers either working or empanelled in IDA pay scale (Rs.1,20,000- 2,80,000 or higher) or (Rs. 90,000-2,40,000 or higher) with a total of 17 years of post qualification work experience at Group- A Gazetted/Executive Level.
- Essential Work Experience: The candidate should have varied experience of working in Design/Manufacturing/Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Rolling Stock, traction distribution on Railways/ Metros and should be conversant with functioning in computerized environment.
- Desirable Work Experience: Experience of working on Electrical and Mechanical services, Metro lifts, escalators, electricity rules & renewable energy will be added advantage. Hands on knowledge on various computer applications, relating to the job is desirable.
Salary / Pay Scale
- (i) Deputation Basis: Parent pay plus deputation allowance.
- (ii) Absorption Basis: Rs 1,20,000- 2,80,000/-
Age Limit (as on 08-01-2026)
Maximum age limit is 55 years.
