The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) is a premier state transmission utility and a wholly owned corporate entity under the Government of Maharashtra. Incorporated under the Companies Act in June 2005, MSETCL was established following the restructuring of the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board. MSETCL owns and operates the majority of Maharashtra's electric power transmission system. This infrastructure constitutes most of the inter-regional and intra-regional electric power transmission systems in the state.
