Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) Invites Application for 455 Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2022

Online Applications in the prescribed form are invited from Indian Nationals for the selection of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for the following trades:-

1. Position: Trade Apprentice

2. No of Post: 455

3. Stipend Per Month: 2500 - 8050/-

4. Educational Qualification: 

a) The candidate should have Passed SSC in with General Science & Mathematics

i) Securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / EWS / DIVYANG/ AFC,

ii) Pass Class for SC/ST Only.

iii) In case of passing criteria is best of 5 subjects taken , iii)General Science & Mathematics Should be the Part of the Qualifying Board Curriculum & Candidate should have passed, Otherwise Application will be rejected.

iv) Though the qualifying criteria is SSC, the candidates with Higher qualification may also apply. However, eligibility will be based on SSC marks qualification only.

b) The candidate should have Passed SSC

i) Securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC /EWS / DIVYANG,/ AFC

ii) Pass Class for SC/ST Only.

iii) Though the qualifying criteria is SSC, the candidates with Higher qualification may also apply. However, eligibility will be based on SSC marks qualification only.

c) Passed ITI in Fitter / Electrician /ICTSM / Electronic Mechanic/ Plumber / Welder / Computer Operator & Programming Assistant / Carpenter trades from Govt./ Govt recognized Institute.

i) Securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / EWS / DIVYANG / AFC,

ii) Only Pass Class for SC/ST. Applicants undergoing their course under semester system are required to pass backlog papers of previous semesters if any & it should be dully certified by Head of the institute.

d) 8th Std. under (10 + 2) system Passed with Science & Mathematics.

i) Securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / EWS / DIVYANG / AFC,

ii) Pass Class for SC/ST Only. Though the qualifying criterion is 8th Std, the candidates with Higher qualification may also apply. However, eligibility will be based on 8th Std. qualification only.

Selection Procedure

1. Selection for Apprenticeship will be completed in Three Stages, First Stage i.e. Online Examination (Computer based test): - only Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be called for Online Examination (Computer based examination). The Online Examination will consist 100 Number of Multiple Choice questions based on the below mentioned syllabus of Minimum Qualification of respective Groups (i.e. Class 10th Pass for Group A, ITI Pass for Group B & Class 8th Pass for Group C) and Examination will be of 2 Hours duration.

2. Second Stage will be of Document Verification & Trade Allotment:-

a) For this the candidates securing maximum marks (each Group & Category wise) in Online Exam would only be called for Medical Examination & Document Verification, Schedule for Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be declared with the result of online examination.

b) It is relevant to inform here that the selected candidates will be required to submit their all original documents in regards of Age, Caste, Educational Qualification, Caste Certificate if applicable, for Document Verification, In Absence of Original Documents candidates will not be allowed to attend the Trade Allotment process & their candidature will be rejected immediately & next available candidate in the order of merit will be called.

3. Third Stage will be of Medical Examination; Shortlisted Applicants will be required to clear Medical Fitness for joining Apprenticeship Training in accordance with medical fitness standard of Apprentices Rules 1992. The procedure for obtaining medical fitness will be informed to shortlisted candidate at the time of result declaration. However, If any applicant is advised for specialist opinion i.e. X-ray, Blood Test etc., it will be at their cost. Joining for Apprenticeship will be subjected to declaration of fitness by Medical Officer.
