Assistant Surgeon (General)

Number of Vacancy: 1021 Posts

Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree. In addition to the above, the candidates
i. Must be a registered practitioner within the meaning of the Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.
ii. Must have served as House Surgeon (CRRI) for a period of not less than twelve months.
iii. Candidates should have registered their name in the Tamil Nadu Medical Council on or before the last date of this Notification. (Last date for submission of application i.e 25.10.2022)
iv. If a candidate claims that the educational qualification possessed by him/her is equivalent though not the same as those prescribed for the appointment, the onus of proof rests with the candidate.

Pay Scale:
INR
56100-177500/- Per Month

Age Limit:
SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC&DCs, BCs, BCMs (including Ex-Servicemen belonging to these communities) - 59 Years as on 01.07.2022.
(i) Others - 37 Years as on 01.07.2022.
(ii) Differently Abled Candidate to “Others” - 47 Years as on 01.07.2022.
(iii) Ex-Servicemen Belonging to “Others” - 50 Years as on 01.07.2022.

Selection Process: Selection will be made based on the marks obtained in the written examination, and duly following the rules of reservation and communal rotation of Government of Tamil Nadu.
