The Ministry of Mines requires the services of a suitable officer on deputation basis who are full filling the following eligibility criteria mentioned in column No. 5 for filling up the post of Deputy Director General (Personnel & Administration) in Central Headquarters, Geological Survey of India, (GS). Kolkata which is an attached office under this Ministry: 1. Post Name: Deputy Director General (Personnel & Administration) General Central Service, Group A Gazetted, Ministerial 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Pay Band and grade pay or Pay Scale: Pay band-4, Rs.37400- 67000 (grade pay Rs. 10000) 4. Eligibility: Officer under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories: (AOholding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadreDepartment or Organisation: or (i) with two years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the pay band-4, Rs. 37400-67000 plus grade pay Rs 8900 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department or (ii) with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in the pay band=4 Rsi 37400-67000 plus grade pay of Rs 8700 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department/organization and (iii) Fifteen years experience in administration, account, establishment, legal and vigilance matters put together in Group 'A post. The Departmental Officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation or absorption. Similarly, deputations shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. (Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other department of the Central organization Government shall not exceed initially for five years or as per Government of India norms. The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years, as on the closing date of the receipt of applications). 5. Note For the purposes of appointment on deputation basis, the service rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1" January, 2006/the date from which the revised pay structure based on the Sixth Central Pay Commission recommendations has been extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended, shall be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended based on the recommendations of the Pay Commission except where there has been merge of more than one pre-revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay or pay scale, and where this benefit will extend only for the post for which that grade pay or pay scale is the normal replacement grade without any upgradation.

Selection will be based on Deputation
1. Application through proper channel along with vigilance clearance, No Penalty certificate, Integrity Certificate, Cadre Clearance, up to date confidential reports and service particular in the prescribed proforma should reach at the following address on or before 15.03.2022 i.e. within 60 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment news.
