Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed format for the post of Director General, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), which carries the pay in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 37,400 - 67,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000/- (Sixth Pay Commission)/ Level-14(7th CPC) with usual allowances as per Central Government rates. The post could be filled by direct recruitment/ on deputation basis including short- term contract/Search-cum-selection method. 1. Position: Director General 2. Pay: Pay in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 37,400 - 67,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000/- (Sixth Pay Commission)/ Level-14(7th CPC) with usual allowances as per Central Government rates. 3. Qualification: Doctorate Degree in science preferably in Solar Energy Technologies or first class Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Renewable Energy preferably in Solar Energy Technologies from a recognized University / institution. 4. Experience: Work experience of proven outstanding quality as evident from Publication/ recognition of international standard. Minimum 10 years in case of doctorate degree or 15 years for Masters degree preferably in RD&D/ Design /Manufacturing/ Policy Planning in the area of Solar Energy. 5. For Deputation/Short term contract: A. Officers of Central/State Governments /PSUs Universities /Research Institutes /Autonomous bodies (i) Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis and possessing the educational qualification and experience prescribed for direct recruitment as above. OR (ii) Officers having 10 years regular service experience in the pay scale of Rs. 16,400- 450-20,000 or equivalent IDA Pattern pay scale in PSUs; and possessing the educational qualification and experience prescribed for direct recruitment as above. B. The period of deputation shall be initially for a period of 3 years which can be extended up to 5 years. However, persons already on deputation in another ex-cadre post will not be considered. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
