Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Professional Interns (Electrical). Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Jr. Professional Intern (Electrical)

• Essential Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Obtained after passing a course of not less than three years duration) from a recognized university or Institute.
• Experience: One year experience in operation/maintenance of Electrical Systems and preferably in the Petroleum Industry.
• Desirable:
  • Prior experience in port operations or related industries.
  • Familiarity with SCADA Systems.
  • Knowledge of English, Hindi, and Marathi.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: Candidate should be less than 35 years of age as on the date of advertisement (19.12.2025).

Salary / Stipend

• Consolidated amount of ₹40,000/- per month.
• There shall be annual increments of 5% on the last drawn remuneration based on satisfactory performance.
• No allowances (DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical Reimbursement etc.) are admissible.

Selection Process

• Applications received shall be scrutinized and shortlisted based on educational qualification percentage/grades/class and experience years.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview etc. before final selection.
• Engagement is subject to being found medically fit.

Interested candidates must apply offline in the prescribed format using a drop box system:

1. Download the application format (Annexure IV-B) from the website www.mumbaiport.gov.in (‘People & Career/Jobs’ menu).
2. Fill the application form and declaration with required details.
3. Attach self-attested copies of documents/certificates relating to Age, Qualification, Experience, etc.
4. Drop the filled application form and documents in the drop box kept at the address below, superscribing the envelope as “Application for engagement of Jr. Professional Interns (Electrical)(OPL Division) on contract basis”.

General Instructions

• The post is purely on a contract basis with an initial period of 2 years (extendable by 2 additional years).
• The appointment is on a Full Time Basis; no other assignments are permitted.
• Candidates serving in Government/ Semi Government/ PSU require a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) at the time of application.
• Selected candidates must provide a discharge/relieving letter from previous employers at joining.
• Candidates must have their own laptops.
• No relaxation will be given in any of the qualifications or experience criteria.
