Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Houseman

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
• Registration: Candidates possessing medical qualifications must be registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council.

Eligibility for Registrar (Medicine)

• Essential Qualification: M.D. Medicine / DNB Medicine / CPS Medicine.
• Experience: Or 2 years post-work experience as a Houseman.

Eligibility for Registrar (Paediatrics)

• Essential Qualification: M.D. Paediatrics / D.C.H / DNB (Paediatrics).
• Experience: Or 2 years post-work experience as a Houseman.

Eligibility for Registrar (Surgery)

• Essential Qualification: M.S. Surgery.

Age Limit (as on 27-01-2026)

• General: 33 years.
• Backward Class Candidates: 38 years.

Application Fee

• Selected candidates must pay Rs. 10,000/- via Demand Draft in favor of "Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai" at the time of counseling.
• Deposit refund is subject to completion of the full tenure period.

Selection will be based on the merit of academic qualifications and verification of documents. The selection list will be displayed on the notice board. Selected candidates must attend counseling with original certificates and the demand draft.

1. Obtain the prescribed application forms from the office of the Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Sane Guruji Marg, Mumbai-11, between 11:30 AM and 04:00 PM.
2. Fill the form completely and attach certified true copies of all related certificates (educational, age, experience, etc.).

4. Ensure registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
