The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has released a notification for the recruitment of Deputy Director posts on a deputation basis. There are currently 17 existing and anticipated vacancies available at the Headquarters in New Delhi and various Zonal Units.

Eligibility for Deputy Director

• Essential Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized University.
• Experience:
  • Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
  • With 5 years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis in the posts in the pay band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with grade pay of Rs. 6,600 (pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
  • Plus, eight years' experience in enforcement of regulatory laws and collection of intelligence relating thereto.
• Desirable Skills:
  • Four years' experience in investigation of criminal offences including economic offences.
  • Working knowledge of Computer related operations including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and operation of the internet.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years on the closing date of receipt of applications.
• Period of Deputation: Shall ordinarily not exceed 4 years.
