The upper age limit is calculated as on the last date of receipt of the application. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwD candidates as per CSIR / Government of India guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): First class M.Sc in Physics / Material Science / Electronics with a minimum of two years of research experience, at least one publication in an SCI-indexed journal, and completion of at least two years of post-M.Sc research experience. Alternatively, M.Tech in Nanotechnology or Electronics with at least 60% marks. Preference will be given to candidates who are NET / GATE qualified.
• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): First class M.Sc in Physics / Material Science / Chemistry. Applicants must hold a CSIR-UGC NET qualification (Lectureship qualification also eligible) or a valid GATE score / qualification.

Salary & Fellowship Structure

The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will receive Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA as applicable. The Senior Research Fellow (SRF) will receive Rs. 42,000/- per month plus HRA as applicable. No additional grants or salary beyond the fellowship amount will be paid. For official visits to other places, laboratories, or institutes, reimbursement will be provided under the project rules of CSIR / CSIR-NAL.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Screening & Shortlisting: Applications will be screened based on the information furnished in the offline application form. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. The interview date and venue will be communicated through e-mail or published on the official NAL website.

No transport allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be paid for attending the interview.

Important Instructions
