National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) Invites Application for Junior Mentor Recruitment 2021

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement of Junior Mentors at Innovation Hub of Regional Science Centre, Khanapara, Guwahati purely on contract basis for a period of one year which will be extended on mutually agreed terms, subject to satisfactory performance.

1. Post Name: Junior Mentor

2. No of Posts: 2 Nos.

3. Remuneration : Rs.25,000/- per month (consolidated)

4. Essential Qualification : Should have minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science/ engineering with good aptitude for hands on activities and good experimental skills.

5. Experience: Good teaching/ research/ teaching/ industry background; Passion for conducting investigative/innovative projects/model making/ design activities/ experimentation etc.;Preference to be given to retired professional and persons having labs/practical/industry experience.

6. Scope of work: To guide and assist the students/ members in carrying out the innovative/ investigative projects in the Innovation Hub; To attend to the Innovation Hub/Labs on weekends and during holidays/ vacations when students/ members are available, as and when required; To manage the day to day activities of Innovation Hub; Monitoring and preparation of progress reports and upkeep of instruments / gadgets used to Innovation Hub activities; Coordination with other institutions/labs for conducting experiments, when required.

7. Disciplines : Life Science/ Physical Sciences/ Robotics/ Electronics/ Computers/ Mechanics etc.
